Deborah Leipziger Headshot

Deborah Leipziger is an author, poet, and advisor on sustainability. Born in Brazil, Deborah’s poems have been published in ten countries. Her poetry collection, Story & Bone, was published by Lily Poetry Review Books in 2023. She is the author of several books on human rights and sustainability, some of which have been translated into Portuguese, Chinese, and Korean. Deborah is part of the 2025-2026 cohort of the Jews of the Americas Fellowship, selected by Brandeis University. She served as Poet-in-Residence at the Vilna Shul in Boston and co-creates the New England Jewish Poetry Festival, now in its sixteenth year.
