About the Fellowship
The Twersky Education Fellowship is named for Natalia Twersky, a champion of Jewish education and the mother of JWA's founding executive director, Gail Twersky Reimer. Since 1996, JWA has offered globally recognized teaching resources, including lesson plans, encyclopedia entries, and in-depth articles highlighting Jewish women's lives and voices. The Twersky Education Fellow is dedicated to making these resources accessible to all, including teachers and learners at every stage of life.
JWA's current Twersky Education Fellow is Erica Riddick, founder of Jews of Color Sanctuary and creator of the Bilhah Zilpah Project, an innovative approach to honoring Jewish matriarchs through text study and creative midrash.
