Rachel Kest has worked in the Jewish community in a variety of settings for more than 25 years, including as the Director of Education and Engagement at the Jewish Federation of Greater Rochester since 2013. Shel is guided by the belief that one’s faith community—more than any other place—should be inclusive, provide support for, and celebrate the diversity of all of its members. Rachel received the Wexner Graduate Fellowship and earned two degrees from Brandeis University: Master of Management in Human Services from the Heller School and Master of Arts from the Hornstein Program in Jewish Communal Service. Rachel is the proud mother of two neurodiverse boys, Elie and Nadav, and is married to Rabbi Michael Silbert.
