Juan Mandelbaum
Juan Mandelbaum has been recognized as a documentary producer/director and has also worked as teacher, curator and consultant. A native of Argentina, Mandelbaum holds a degree in sociology from the Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires and an M.A. in Communications from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. His independent productions have been aired on PBS and at many festivals. They include A Taste of Passover, A Taste of Chanukah and Ringl and Pit. His work has been broadcast on a variety of venues, from American Playhouse to Sesame Street, and has won multiple awards, including Emmy awards and nominations. He has also curated several series of films from Latin America, including Latin Visions, at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and Cine Argentino, at the Institute of Contemporary Art, the largest-ever retrospective of Argentine film and video held in the United States.
