Ronee Jaeger
Ronee Jaeger, raised in Hebrew, religious and Zionist circles, came to Yiddish and to feminism as a grown woman. She remains active and involved in learning, teaching and especially reading Yiddish women writers. She is one of the translators in Found Treasures, an anthology of women’s Yiddish writing in English. After twenty-three years as a social worker at Jewish Family and Child Services in Toronto, she currently lives in both Toronto and Jerusalem. She is a peace activist and a journalist for Outlook, a Canadian progressive Jewish magazine.
