"Do stereotype buckets that we fall into, and buy into, hold us back?" I have ceased ponding this as I have found it to provide little illumination. I wonder if it is society or the MEN in society who purport these stereotypes??? I'm a victim of the Shiksa syndrome... Though never beaten, I've been bruised quite often from these stereotypes. I've hoped to see society change throughout my own lifetime. But I do not believe this will ever come to light.

Just yesterday, I was getting coffee with a friend. She had been reading a book on her kindle when I arrived. I asked her what she was reading. She said "In Search of the Golden Shiksa". Just another tribute to the blond haired Iowa cornfed beauties from a Jewish man... I asked her why she would read such a biased book... She said she wanted to know why she was a victim of the Shiksa Syndrome as well.

I don't have an issue with preference. Mine is with Order. I skimmed this book... I'm sure this author Roger Levine wrote a personal account of his own betrayal on marraige...Now he's rewarded for his actions.....

My life as a whole has been a blessing. But some of these sterotypes cause actual harm. All we can do is teach our children otherwise :)
