Hello!

I graduated from Francer Stern Nutrition Center in 1982 as a M.S., R.D. and HOW TRUE! What would Frances say and do?

She'd be in arms about how our tax dollars subsidize the two food crops which make the USA a virtual candy store and create too cheap meat: corn and soy. The corn creates too cheap sugar and refined products; the soy creates ubiquitious $1.00 burgers to feed our poorest.

Our health problems will only worsen without MASSIVE change which is being stymied by our agri-corporations who are wedded to the medical and pharmaceutical industry, and of course wall street and lobbyists. We've got to subsidize PRODUCE, not grains so that women no longer have to pay outrageous prices for the produce which truly contributes to disease prevention and even treatment. And corporations must take responsibility for the wholesale spread of our too costly, even deadly diseases: diabetes, heart disease, cancer, arthritis, and did I say obesity.

Frances Stern was an amazingly talented woman, in the tradition of STRONG, SMART Jewish women!
