A refreshing article to read, this has been, especially for a Sunday. I did not know that Massachusetts has the lowest divorce rate in the country. When I thought about it our rating the highest for completion of high school and also of college, I was especially relieved. You see I tried three different high schools, in an effort not to be lumped in the same honors classes with my mirror twin sister. Boarding school produced too much frostbite, homesickness, and at nearly sixteen years of age, a swollen jaw due to impacted wisdom teeth. South Shore Hospital provided a place for me to receive surgery for that problem. Finally, Thayer Academy, as a day school gave me the alternative high school I needed for my junior and senior years of high school. My brother and sister-in-law might have had an interfaith marriage, she being Islamic, in Singapore, he being an American business man living there as a non practicing Protestant Christian. Instead, after a civil wedding ceremony so that they could legally live together, they found that her eldest brother wanted my brother to convert to Islam and for there to be an Islamic family oriented wedding ceremony. We all got to go halfway around the world for this. They even got married the day after Christmas.
