It is NOT within 7 days, it is on the 8th day of life for jewish boys. The only exceptions are if a baby is born premature and they wait until the baby’s health is stable. Coincidentally, the 8th day of life for a newborn, their platelet count is VERY high, so that there is little to no bleeding because the platelets are responsible for clotting. In babies done earlier or later in life, there is a greater risk of bleeding….. I guns Ha Shem knew how is creation works better than obstetricians…
