I am proud to celebrate Dr. Faust -- and commend JWA for doing so. I am not as willing to applaud Harvard for their gradual movement toward the realization that yes, smart/courageous/respected professionals can be (gasp!) women. Welcome to the present, Harvard -- much of the rest of the higher education world has been living here for a while now.
I'd love to hear from some of the women who rose through the ranks a generation before me. I acknowledge this is a huge reality shift for them. But I hope they know it is thanks to their efforts that it is not one to me.
