A friesh approach might be to recognize that among those being celebrated by Black History Month are some Jews, including Jewish women. Yavilah McCoy, Rebecca Walker, Carolivia Herron, Jamaica Kincaid, Beejhy Barhany, Yelena Bonner. . . just a beginning. What about an interview or piece of writing? Or even just a longer list, to begin disrupting the assumptions of absolute separateness?
