I notice this post is catalogued under "hmmm" and not under "women we love!" No one should discount the type of resistance and alienation that Sally Priesand must have faced as she set about creating a space for herself in what had been, before her, a complacent and exclusively male culture. Don't discount the importance of quiet courage and what it takes to make a difference. To my mind, she's a woman we should love.
