Todah rabah, thank you very much, Renee Ghert-Zand for this tribute to Vivian Finkel! She was my teacher when I lived in Manhattan and attended Park Avenue Synagogue (PAS) where my grandparents are named in a stained glass window in the sanctuary. Prior to my bar mitzvah, I moved out of state with my mother. However, I studied for my bar mitzvah at PAS via long distance phone calls with Vivian Finkel and audio cassette tapes she prepared and provided to me. That was 54 years ago. I am forever grateful for Vivian Finkel!
