She was the best! I last saw her in the mid-late 1950's; we were moving to "a house in the country with room to grow" - I had always lived in the city. When I wasn't quite 2-years-old: the moment she heard my symptoms over the phone with my Mom; she said "take them" (my brother had similar symptoms) "to the hospital immediately. That's Polio." We did have Polio. She always 'just knew, everything' I will never forget just how amazing a person she was. I will always love her. She spoke with children as if they really were people; other than my parents; I've known few adults who have recognized that about children. (even to this day, and I obviously am nearly 70 now)
