My mother, Ann Hewitt, worked with Polly Cowan and Dorthy Height for Wednesdays in Mississippi in 1964. Ann, a former college math instructor moved to NYC where Polly became her friend without regard to the difference financial social status. In fact I have fond memories of when Lou and Polly invited my mother and myself up to their Martha's Vineyard home. I now live in Ann Arbor and traveled last weekend to see the opening of Wednesday's in Mississippi with my cousins. I so very sorry to have missed connecting with some members of the Cowan Family and Susie Goodwillie who I understand were to come the following night. Please, if you can extend my warm feelings to them.
