As one of the students of International Development from Africa - Uganda at Brandeis University Ruth mentored and supported Rodney and I to co-found Uganda Microfinance Limited (UML)a regulated financial institution that provided the badly required financial services tailored to economically empower the historically marginalized people in Uganda. UML later transformed into a full Commercial Bank under the names of Equity Bank Uganda Limited. I therefore, confirm that Ruth's efforts were not in vain. We shall always remember her good works and passion for the less privileged.
