Happy Mother's Day!
From Eric, Abby, Eliza, and Sammy Fisher
Thank you for being an incredible mom & human being.
This may all sound cliché, but it's true. You have taught us how to stand our ground respectfully. You have taught us how to be ourselves and how to love those selves. You have taught us how to structure a paper, how to frame an argument, how to hang a painting, how to be gentle, how to be firm, how to clear the table, how to cultivate meaningful friendships, how to take care of ourselves, how to tell the truth, and how to make bold choices.
Our wish is that you continue being the strong, smart, beautiful, and warm person that you are. We hope that your ideals and values are carried out concretely because we know that will make for a better future. We will do our best to use what you've taught us to make that a reality.
Thank you for providing for us in more ways than one. Whether investing your time in our challenges, cooking for us, or just all around being an amazing role model. We are so grateful to have you as a mother.
You have stocked our bookshelves with feminist literature, and adorned our house with French decor. There isn't a single day we spend together that we don't learn something new—whether that be about literature, gender theory, or being a person. We are so proud of you and everything you've accomplished!
You can also honor someone important in your life by selecting a "We Celebrate Tribute" in the JWA store.
