Judaism, Race, and Ethnicity
The Jewish community is diverse, and all Jews hold many different identities. In order to tell an inclusive story, we must include Jews of color, whose experiences are often overlooked. Use these questions to amplify the stories of Jewish Women of Color, Indigenous, Mizrahi, and Sephardi women.
This question set was adapted from the #ShareHerStory Campaign, and created in collaboration with the Jewish Multiracial Network and Repair The World.
As a Jewish Woman of Color, Indigenous, Mizrahi, and/or Sephardi woman, in which spaces or moments do you feel these identities most fully embraced?
In which spaces or moments do you feel your identities not fully embraced or integrated?
Which Jewish Women of Color, Indigenous, Mizrahi, or Sephardi women inspire you?
What would you want the Jewish community at large to know about the experiences of Jews of Color, Indigenous, Mizrahi, and/or Sephardi Jews?
