JWA News Release: January 14, 2009
JANUARY 14, 2009 |
Dear Educators, Just in time for Tu B'Shevat, the Jewish New Year for Trees, the Jewish Women's Archive has introduced a new web-feature on Jewish Women in Environmental Activism. Find stories about Jewish women who have been pioneers in environmental preservation, activist film-making, community health, earth-honoring ritual, food justice blogging, eco-Judaism, and more. We invite you and your students to expand this resource by adding comments, stories, and links about Jewish women environmental activists working in your community and beyond. Feature these stories in your Tu B'Shevat Seder, incorporate them into classroom lessons or community service projects, and share them with colleagues, family, and friends. Please send feedback and questions to Emily Scheinberg, Assistant Director to Educational Outreach. Wishing you a green new year! Jewish Women's Archive |
