The Jewish Women's Archive (JWA) is a national nonprofit dedicated to documenting Jewish women's stories, elevating their voices, and inspiring them to be agents of change.
Position:Rising Voices Fellowship Alumnae Coordinator
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week (remote)
Description:The Rising Voices Fellowship Alumnae Coordinator (RVFAC) is an integral member of the RVF team. She actively and consistently engages with RVF alumnae, assists in all aspects of retreat planning and execution, engages in marketing and outreach, and provides her unique insight as an alumna to help staff continue to develop the program. Please note that the list of tasks below is subject to change, and that the RVFAC may be asked to perform other tasks as needed.
Alumnae Engagement
- Post to RVF alumnae Facebook page regularly with items of interest to alumnae community (articles, upcoming events, blog posts, engagement opportunities, etc.)
- Compose and send monthly alumnae newsletter
- Plan and implement events for alumnae
- Organize alumnae volunteer corps
Retreats
- Assist with pre-retreat logistics
- Assist as junior staff at retreats
- Record “quotable quotes” at retreats
- Analyze survey feedback and engage in team discussions about implications
Blog
- Write blog posts for Jewish Women, Amplified
- Coordinate alumnae blogging corps
Outreach
- Assist with RVF outreach for 2018-2019
- Represent JWA in talking to interested parties about RVF
Mentoring
- Serve as a peer mentor to Fellows, conducting individual outreach at least once per year
