Silvina Szperling

Silvina Szperling, born in Buenos Aires, pioneered the video-dance (screendance) genre in Argentina and Latin America after many years of studying contemporary dance. She has served as Founder Director of the International Festival VideoDanzaBA since 1995, has received awards for several shorts, including “Temblor” and “Chámame,” and released two documentary films, REFLEJO NARCISA, and VIKINGA. Currently, Szperling teaches video-dance at the Master’s program in Alternative Cinema at the International School for Film and TV in Cuba and is a Professor in Dance Criticism at Universidad Nacional de las Artes in Argentina.
