Lauren B. Strauss

Lauren B. Strauss is Senior Professorial Lecturer and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Jewish Studies Program at American University in Washington, D.C. She teaches modern Jewish history, literature, and culture, focusing especially on the U.S. and Israel. Her research focuses on political and cultural history, with book projects on left-wing Jewish artists in New York in the interwar period, and on D.C. Jews' political and social history in the 20th century.
