Diane M. Sharon
Diane M. Sharon is currently National Education Director for Young Judaea, the Jewish Zionist Youth Movement of Hadassah. Earlier, she spent ten years as an assistant professor at the Jewish Theological Seminary, where she was the first woman ever appointed full time to the department of Bible and Ancient Semitic Languages. She has also taught comparative religion and Hebrew Bible at Fordham University and at other institutions of higher learning. Sharon is the author of a book and several articles dealing with the Hebrew Bible in its context in the ancient Near East, comparative religion and women’s studies.
