Irit Salmon
Irit Salmon, currently the curator of the Israel Museum’s Ticho House in Jerusalem, was until 1996 a curator at the Yad Vashem Art Museum. Born in Tel Aviv in 1939, she has a B.A. in History of Art, Hebrew Literature and Education (1965) and an M.A. in History of Art, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. From 1971 to 1976 she participated in research for the Index of Hebrew Illuminated Manuscripts, directed by Professor Bezalel Narkiss. From 1978 to 1980 she headed the archives of the Department of Jewish Art at the Israel Museum. Her publications include Testimony: Art of the Holocaust (1982), Ticho House: A Jerusalem Landmark (1994) and I and I: Drawings by Elsa Lasker-Schüler (1997).
