Judith Pinnolis

Judith Shira Pinnolis is a librarian and musicologist. She teaches at the School of Jewish Music of Hebrew College and works as Associate Director of Libraries at Berklee College of Music/The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. She has served as Chair of the Jewish Music Roundtable of the Music Library Association and is creator and editor of The Jewish Music WebCenter (www.jmwc.org). Pinnolis received the M.M. at the College-Conservatory of Music of the University of Cincinnati and M.S. in Library Science at Simmons College.

Julie Rosewald

Julie Eichberg Rosewald was America’s first woman cantor. Known as the “Cantor Soprano” at Temple Emanu-El in San Francisco, she served between 1884 and 1893. Rosewald enjoyed a brilliantly successful career in opera as well as being a composer, author, teacher, and professor of music.
