Meira Perry-Lehmann
Meira Perry-Lehmann is the Michael Bromberg Senior Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. She graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1969 with a B.A. in English literature and art history and did her graduate work in art history and museology at Harvard University and Wellesley College, receiving her M.A. in 1973. She has been with the Israel Museum since its founding, first as a guide, then as a teacher in the Museum’s Youth Wing, associate curator of prints and drawings, curator of prints and drawings and acting chief curator for the arts. In addition to articles and catalogue entries in various publications, she has written numerous catalogues for the Israel Museum, researching and verifying authenticity and provenance. Her publications include: Beyond Drawing; Pins: Woodcuts, 1942–1985; One Hundred Works on Paper from the Collection of the Israel Museum, Jerusalem; Three Max Ernst Collages; Along New Lines, Israeli Drawing Today; Leopold Krakauer, Painter and Architect (with Michael Levin); Vision of Light and A Century of Watercolor in Israel.
