Joyce Morgenroth
Joyce Morgenroth is associate professor of dance at Cornell University. She is the author of Dance Improvisations and has conducted improvisation workshops in the United States, Canada and Europe. She received an A.B. in theoretical mathematics from Cornell University, an M.A. in French literature from Johns Hopkins University, early dance training at the School of American Ballet and modern dance training with Peggy Lawler, Dan Wagoner and Viola Farber. Morgenroth’s choreographic work has been shown in New York and on tour. Her latest book, Speaking of Dance: Twelve Contemporary Choreographers on Their Craft, was published in 2004 by Routledge.
