Gail Labovitz
Gail Labovitz is Professor of Rabbinic Literature at the American Jewish University, where she teaches for the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies. She is the author of Marriage and Metaphor: Constructions of Gender in Rabbinic Literature (Lexington Books, 2009) and the forthcoming volume on tractate Moed Qatan for the Feminist Commentary on the Babylonian Talmud, as well as numerous articles, chapters, and reviews. Her areas of academic interest include rabbinic literature, Jewish law, and gender theory.
