Ruth Gursky

Ruth Gursky graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and received B.A. and M.A. degrees in communications from Queens College. Gursky maintains law offices in Greenwich Village and Brooklyn Heights, specializing in wills and estates and real estate law. In addition, Gursky is a consultant to nonprofit organizations in the New York area, helping them to achieve their management and fundraising goals. Among her nonprofit achievements, Gursky conceived and organized the Hadassah Women’s Seder and wrote its innovative haggadah (prayer book). For more information, visit www.mslawyerny.com. Rita Eleanor Hauser

Rita E. Hauser is a woman of many accomplishments. She was a trailblazer for women in law, politics and foreign affairs at a time when few women entered the legal profession or achieved top-level positions in business and politics. She was instrumental in persuading Yasir Arafat and the Palestine Liberation Organization to renounce terrorism publicly and to recognize Israel. She has been involved in Republican presidential politics since Richard Nixon’s presidential campaign, and she was invited to join a major Wall Street law firm as its first woman partner.

Rita Charmatz Davidson

Rita Charmatz Davidson led the vanguard for women in the state of Maryland, rising through the ranks of appointed local public service posts to the governor’s cabinet and seats on both of Maryland’s appellate courts.

Senda Berenson

Known as the “Mother of Women’s Basketball,” Senda Berenson pioneered women’s basketball as the director of the physical education department at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts.
