Frank Frick
Frank Frick is a Biblical scholar and the author of three books on ancient Israel based on his archaeological research. A former resident director of the Great Lakes Jerusalem Program, Frick is in regular communication with both Israelis and Palestinians on current developments in the Middle East. As the former coordinator of Albion College’s South Africa Initiatives, Frick gained a deep understanding of South Africa and its conflict as a frequent visitor and visiting scholar at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and at Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s School for Overseas Students. Frick’s other fields of interest include the assimilation of cultures in the Middle East and South Africa, and conflicting issues among Orthodox and Reformed Jewish worshipers. His guest column, “Nelson Mandela: Symbol and Sire of South African Freedom,” appeared in the Chicago Tribune in 1990.
