Zoe Kravitz

Zoë Kravitz has continued her family’s legacy in the arts as a singer and actress in her own right. The daughter of singer Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet, Zoë Kravitz came of age in the spotlight. She made her film debut in 2007, appearing in both the romantic comedy No Reservations and the thriller The Brave One. She went on to balance ongoing roles in the X-Men and Divergent action franchises and a part in Mad Max: Fury Road with appearances in independent movies, including The Road Within and Dope, as well as television shows including Californication and Portlandia. Kravitz, who began making music at sixteen, helped form the band Elevator Fight in 2009 and performed with them at South by Southwest. Four years later, she formed the band Lolawolf, named for her two younger siblings. The band released its eponymous first digital album in 2014 and has made two albums and two EPs together as of 2023. She was part of the main cast in the HBO series Big Little Lies (2017-2019) and in 2018 had a starring role as Leta Lestrange in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindewald, the second movie in the Fantastic Beasts trilogy, a Harry Potter series spinoff. She also starred in and produced the 2020 Hulu series High Fidelity, a remake of the 2000 movie of the same name that starred Kravitz’s mother; despite receiving critical acclaim, High Fidelity was cancelled after one season. She had a leading role as Catwoman in The Batman (2022). Kravitz is making her directorial debut with Pussy Island, an upcoming psychological thriller in post-production as of 2023.
