Patricia Arquette has navigated a career path from Hollywood to television and back again, culminating in a landslide of awards for her supporting role in 2014’s Boyhood. Arquette, a third-generation performer with a wealth of talented siblings, first appeared in Nightmare on Elm Street 3 in 1987. She went on to act in forty movies, including True Romance in 1993, Ed Wood in 1994, Bringing Out the Dead in 1999, and Holes in 2003. From 2005–2011 she played psychic investigator and mother Allison Dubois on Medium, winning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in 2005. She also earned a SAG award nomination for her recurring role on Boardwalk Empire. Her performance in Boyhood, filmed over twelve years, earned her BAFTA, Golden Globe, and SAG Awards, as well as an Oscar. She used her Oscar speech to urge Americans to fight for women's equal rights and equal pay. In 2010 she co-founded GiveLove, which supports sanitation, composting, and construction projects in Haiti. She also participates in the annual Race for the Cure to raise awareness for breast cancer. In 2015 she is scheduled to launch CSI: Cyber as the lead member of the ensemble cast.
