In Focus: Jewish Women Artists
Many artists are not comfortable being characterized by their religious background, geographic roots, sexual orientation, or even their gender. However, when JWA put Jewish Women: A Comprehensive Historical Encyclopedia online, we found it useful to make "Art" one of the searchable key words. Profiles of three of the most interesting Jewish women visual artists are on this page.
You can also sample the oral history of Washington, D.C. artist Mindy Weisel.
